Paper composed by aramidic fibers

Aramid paper is composed by aramidic fibers. It is used in particular for the winding of magnetic cables for large transformers and electric motors, as well as insulation in generators and lamination for electrical systems.
More and more this calendered paper is used in almost every known electrical sheet insulation applications with high temperature resistance and can offer short-term overloading. It can offer high inherent dielectric strength, mechanical toughness, flexibility and resilience.

Aramid paper is classified as insulator class C 220°C by Underwriters Laboratories (file E34739) and all major certifying bodies worldwide.
